The dangerous level crossing on Union Road in Surrey Hills are scheduled to be removed by 2023.
Construction of a new rail trench will begin in 2022 and will see a new premium station built with entrances for Surrey Hills and Mont Albert. The premium station will replace the existing Surrey Hills and Mont Albert train stations.
We look forward to working with the Level Crossing Removal Project team to help remove two of the most dangerous level crossings in Victoria.
Community consultation, design and early works are expected to take place in 2021. Register to join a Community Reference Group and help shape the new station precincts.
