Suspicious behaviour in Lawnton, QLD

Police are seeking assistance after a girl was grabbed by an unknown man this afternoon in Lawnton.

Initial information suggests that the 11-year-old was walking on the Francis Road overpass at 3.20pm when a man approached her.

The man then grabbed her by the waist and pulled her to the ground before fleeing the scene on foot.

He was last seen running to a dark coloured SUV that was on Park Lane.

The girl did not suffer any physical injures as a result of the incident.

The man is described as Caucasian in appearance with a shaved head, in his early 20s and had a proportionate build.

He was last seen wearing a light blue t-shirt, running shoes and black shorts.

Detectives are seeking anyone that was in the area at the time that might have dash cam footage or has any information which may assist their investigations to contact them.
