Taxi driver robbed at Felixstow, South Australia

Police are searching for two men and a woman after a taxi driver was assaulted and robbed at Felixstow this morning.

Just after 7am on Sunday 30 December, a taxi driver had just conveyed three people from Gilles Plains to St Margaret Crescent Felixstow, when the three passengers attacked the male driver, punching him several times to the head and body, before taking off with his wallet and overnight takings.

Police were called after the three suspects ran into a nearby house.

Eastern District patrols set up cordons in the area, while several homes were searched, but the two men and the women weren’t located.

The three suspects are described as:

  1. male: about 30-years-old, Caucasian, medium build with black short hair and wearing a dark coloured t-shirt and shorts.
  2. male: about 25-30-years-old, Caucasian. thin build with short hair, wearing shirt and shorts.
  3. female: about 25-years-old of Aboriginal appearance, medium build, long black hair in a pony tail, wearing a dark sleeveless top and light coloured shorts.

The taxi driver wasn’t physically injured in the incident.
