A teenage boy has been charged following an alleged break and enter in the Murrumbidgee region last week.
Officers from Murrumbidgee Police District were told about 2.30pm on Thursday 17 September 2026, an unknown person allegedly gained entry to a property on Calrose Street, Leeton, by breaking a window.
Once inside the person allegedly forced entry to several rooms in the property and stole alcohol, shoes, a speaker, passport and mobile phone.
Following inquiries, about 4pm Friday 18 September 2026, a 14-year-old boy was arrested at Leeton Police Station where he was charged with break and enter house etc steal value less than or equal to $60000, larceny and destroy or damage property.
The boy was granted conditional bail to appear before a children’s court on Tuesday 20 October 2026.
