Teenager charged after break-in at Coonamble, NSW

A teenager has been charged after allegedly breaking into a licensed club in the state’s Central West.

About 2am yesterday (Monday 29 July 2019), it is alleged a 15-year-old boy and a second person have broken into a business on Caswell Street at Coonamble.

It is alleged they entered the business through the rear door and opened an empty cash register before fleeing when the alarm was activated.

Officers attached to Orana Mid Western Police District attended and made inquiries.

Shortly after 11am, police attended a home in Coonamble where they spoke with the boy.

He was arrested and taken to Coonamble Police Station where he was charged with aggravated break and enter dwelling in company intend steal.

The boy was granted conditional bail to appear before a Children’s Court on Tuesday 20 August 2019.

Investigations continue.
