Teenager stabbed in home invasion, NSW

A teenager has been seriously injured in Sydney’s south west overnight.

About 1:15am today (Wednesday 24 February 2021), emergency services responded to reports of a home invasion at Simpson Road, Bonnyrigg Heights.

Officers from Fairfield Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene.

Police have been informed that two men entered the premises wearing face coverings. One was armed with a machete and the other male with a hammer.

An 17-year-old male occupant at the home was stabbed with the machete. The two males then fled the location.

The male was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics and was conveyed to Liverpool Hospital in a serious but stable condition where he underwent surgery.
