Temporary suspension of Road Management Plan

Council has made the decision to temporarily suspend its Road Management Plan (RMP) for a two-month period, effective immediately.

This means that regular activities and obligations outlined in the plan are temporarily put on hold due to exceptional circumstances.

The recent rain and flooding event has had a significant impact on our road infrastructure.

Since the event there have been approximately 147 individual roads listed for works with a total of 26 roads being closed at the peak of the event.

Despite Council’s efforts to address the situation through reactive works, further inspections and repairs are essential to ensure the safety and functionality of the affected roads.

The proposed two-month suspension allows Council to concentrate our resources on completing a substantial portion of the outstanding works.

We understand the importance of road maintenance to the community and will strive to resume normal operations as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this period.
