Theft and deceptions in Templestowe and Lower Plenty

Manningham Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating a theft from a car and subsequent deceptions in Lower Plenty last month.

Investigators have been told an unknown person gained entry to a car parked on a residential street in Templestowe about 6.50pm on Monday 6 April, stealing a wallet and a bank card.

The bank card was used about 7.15pm that day at a liquor store in Lower Plenty for multiple transactions.

Police have released images of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.

The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, has a moustache or is unshaven, and was wearing a navy-blue hooded jacket, puffer vest, shorts with a white stripe, white sneakers and a white and a cream baseball cap.

He has a tattoo on his right hand and was wearing a cast on his left hand. The man was also wearing glasses and a silver coloured watch on his right wrist while carrying a dark coloured satchel.
