Missing Persons Squad detectives have charged a third person following the death of a man in Chadstone in July.
A 53-year-old Boronia man was arrested in Boronia yesterday afternoon.
He has subsequently been charged with one count of murder.
The man has been held over to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court today, Wednesday 13 September.
The charges overnight follow an alleged incident at a property on Binalong Avenue in Chadstone on Tuesday, 18 July where a 47-year-old Frankston man was fatally assaulted.
The man’s body was located on Railway Parade in Chadstone on Friday, 21 July following a search by police as part of the investigation.
A 36-year-old woman and 35-year-old man were both charged with one count of murder.
They were remanded in custody to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 17 November.
Police believe the parties involved were known to each other.
