Three arrests after aggravated robbery

As stated by Waikato District Criminal Investigations Manager, Detective Inspector Graham Pitkethley:

Police have arrested three teenaged boys following the aggravated robbery of a Waikato Liquor store in which the shop owner was injured last weekend.

About 9.25pm on Saturday 16 December, four masked individuals entered a liquor store on Whatawhata Road in Dinsdale and allegedly assaulted two workers. One worker suffered injuries to his head and hand after he challenged the assailants during the incident. He received treatment in hospital and is now recovering at home.

Police have today apprehended two 15-year-olds and a 17-year-old in relation to the incident. Investigators are following strong lines of enquiry to locate a fourth individual.
