Three charged; drugs, weapons and vapes seized in South Coast

Two men and a woman have been charged after drugs, weapons and vapes were seized in a search warrant on the state’s South Coast.

On Friday 3 June 2022, officers attached to South Coast Police District’s Proactive Crime Team executed a search warrant at a home on Macleans Point Road, Sanctuary Point.

During a search of the property, police located and seized 13kg of cannabis, a quantity of cocaine, a gel blaster M4 replica firearm, a .22 bolt action rifle barrel, stun device cartridges, and more than $5000 cash.

Police also seized almost 470 vaping cannisters with an estimated potential street value of more than $18,500.

A 54-year-old man was arrested at the property and taken to Nowra Police Station where he was charged with supply prohibited drug.

He was granted conditional bail to appear in Nowra Local Court on Tuesday 30 August 2022.

Following inquiries, a woman, aged 21, and a man, now aged 18, were arrested just before 10am today (Thursday 11 August 2022).

Both were taken to Nowra Police Station where the woman was charged with one count each of restricted substance sold by non-wholesaler, possess/attempt to prescribed restricted substance, possess prohibited drug, and deal with property proceeds of crime.

She was granted conditional bail to appear in Nowra Local Court on Tuesday 20 September 2022.

The younger man was charged with possess unauthorised firearm, possess a barrel for a firearm unless authorised by permit, supply prohibited drug, and possess prohibited drug.

He was granted conditional bail to appear before a children’s court on Thursday 8 September 2022.
