The PSA says a settlement with Health New Zealand over the agency’s proposed restructure of its Data and Digital and Pacific Health teams has saved around 200 roles from being cut. A third of New Zealanders have needed help accessing food in the past year, according to Consumer NZ, and its chief executive says it should be a wake-up call that the country’s grocery market is not working as it should. Two separate reports into Oranga Tamariki care facilities highlight dozens of allegations of abuse by staff including excessive force including punching children in the head.
