Trafalgar attempted armed robbery

Detectives from Baw Baw Crime Investigation Unit are investigating an attempted armed robbery which occurred in Trafalgar on Saturday night.

Officers have been told a man entered a service station on Princes Highway about 7.40pm.

He threatened the attendant with an iron before making his way behind the counter.

The would be thief attempted to open the cash register but was unsuccessful.

He then fled the store and was last seen heading south across the Princes Highway..

The offender is perceived to be Caucasian, approximately 180cm tall with a medium build.

At the time of the offence he was wearing a distinctive ‘Dickies’ branded hoodie and blue socks.

Detectives have released CCTV of a man they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries.
