Trio arrested after robbery at Broadview, South Australia

Three people have been arrested following an alleged robbery overnight at Broadview.

Just after midnight on Sunday 19 April, the victim was riding an e-scooter along Hepburn Street, when he was approached by two men and woman in a Kia SUV. One of the men threatened the victim with a tyre leaver before hitting him in the stomach and grabbing the scooter which was placed in the rear of the SUV. All three then drove off and were last seen heading east along Hepburn Street.

Patrols searched the area and found the SUV abandoned in Torrington Avenue at Devon Park a short time later. Investigations by police led them to a house in Hillcrest where the SUV had been stolen from earlier in the night. While patrols were at the house, a taxi was seen to drive past with the three suspects.

A 29-year-old man from Coober Pedy, a 35-year-old man from Devon Park and a 30-year-old woman from Port Lincoln were all arrested and are expected to be charged with illegal use and aggravated robbery.
