TV vet to deliver summer care advice for Logan pets

Logan veterinarian and Bondi Vet TV star Dr Alex Hynes will share valuable information this month at two Logan library branches to prepare pet owners for summer.

Logan veterinarian and Bondi Vet TV star Dr Alex Hynes will provide advice on keeping pets safe for summer at Logan City Council’s libraries during November.

Dr Hynes, from Underwood’s Animal Emergency Services, and her Samoyed Yoshi will visit Logan North and Beenleigh libraries.

She will host the Keeping your Pets Safe this summer session.

The sessions will be held at Logan North Library from 11am to 12.30pm on Saturday, November 9 and from 10am to 11.30am on Saturday, November 16 at Beenleigh Library.

Common animal emergencies over the summer months and how to prevent them will be discussed.

Dr Hynes is the author of First Call for Dogs which covers all the most common illnesses, injuries and emergencies for dogs.

Copies of the book will be on sale at the library sessions and are also available for loan.

Dr Hynes has an extraordinary passion for animals, life and veterinary work.

She is the hospital director of one of Australia’s busiest emergency pet hospitals.

Dr Hynes spends her days and nights treating the sickest of sick pets and wildlife in critical medical situations.
