Two men injured in home invasion, NSW

An investigation is underway following a home invasion in Sydney’s west overnight.

About 12.30am (Saturday 17 October 2020), emergency services were called to a home on The Avenue, Mount Druitt, after reports two men were injured.

Police have been told that three male occupants – aged 47, 27 and 23 – where at home, when the 27-year-old man answered a knock at the front door.

He was confronted by three unknown men, one who was armed with a machete, that demanded to speak with a man who did not reside there.

The armed man, aged 24, allegedly threatened the 27-year-old with the machete, before the other two occupants became involved in a physical altercation with him.
