Police are making enquiries following the sudden death of a man at a residential property in Christchurch on Sunday.
Emergency services were called to a Milton Street property at around 12:30pm after the man was found unresponsive. CPR was commenced prior to the arrival of emergency services, however the man could not be revived.
The death is currently being treated as unexplained, and enquiries are underway on behalf of the Coroner to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.
A post-mortem examination is scheduled to take place in due course.
Residents can expect to see an ongoing Police presence at the address while a scene examination is carried out.
At this time there is not believed to be any risk to the wider public.
Police are providing the necessary support to those impacted.
