Unit fire at Christie Downs, South Australia

Police are investigating a fire that destroyed a unit at Christie Downs yesterday afternoon.

Police, fire crews and paramedics raced to Edith Court, Christie Downs after reports of smoke coming from the roof of a unit about 2.45pm on Tuesday 16 June.

The occupants weren’t home at the time of the fire and there were no reported injuries.

Firefighters managed to stop the fire spreading to adjoining vacant units, however the roof of the unit partially collapsed and a neighbouring roof was also damaged.

It is also believed a pet cat perished in the blaze.
