Unlawful entries in Alice Springs 14 January

Northern Territory Police are investigating a number of unlawful entries in which vehicles were stolen from properties in Alice Springs overnight.

Police were alerted to the first unlawful entry of a home in Braitling when the male resident woke to the sound of his vehicle being driven out of his driveway just before 11pm.

At 1:30am a security guard alerted police to an unlawful entry of a building on Gregory Terrace where two vehicles were stolen from.

The vehicles, a white Hyundai i30 and a white Toyota Camry, were observed being driven in a reckless manner in the Alice Springs CBD.

Just before 2am police were notified of an unlawful entry at a home on Kurrajong Crescent.

Offenders forced entry into the occupied property and stole some jewellery before leaving.

At 2:52am CCTV captured offenders gaining entry into a home on Crann Street where they stole a wallet.

Alice Springs Police have recovered all three stolen vehicles.

Police are calling for any witnesses to the reckless driving incidents, or who may have information which can assist with investigations, to contact police on 131 444 or report it anonymously via Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
