Upcoming Night Works For High Street

MidCoast Council

Heavy patching works will take place on High Street, Taree over two nights next week.

MidCoast Council crews will concentrate on the section of road between Commerce Street and Flett Street on Tuesday 9 and Wednesday 10 June, weather permitting.
This section of Hight Street will be closed to traffic between 6pm and 6am on both nights. Motorists are urged to exercise caution, follow detours and always observe signage.
Work is being completed at night in a bid to limit the disruption on motorists.
Heavy patching work aims to repair the worst sections of damaged roads. It restores strength and improves safety in specific areas without needing a full rebuild. While not a long-term solution, it helps keep roads safe and drivable while working within budget to prolong the life of a road.
This work will be funded through Council’s maintenance budget. For updates on road and bridge works, visit Council’s Roads Hub: www.midcoast.nsw.gov.au/roads-hub
