Update 1: Attempted burglary with violence, Harristown  

Police have charged a 17-year-old boy as part of ongoing investigations into an alleged burglary in Harristown on Saturday, March 16.

It will be alleged around 1am Saturday, a stolen silver Honda Civic attended a home along Violet Street. Two people got out of the vehicle and gained entry to a property.

An occupant of the property confronted the intruders before an altercation occurred and the pair ran off.

A 53-year-old male occupant was transported to Toowoomba Base Hospital after he sustained significant facial injuries.

Following investigations, police arrested a 17-year-old North Toowoomba boy on Sunday, March 17.

He has been charged with enter dwelling with violence, assaults occasioning bodily harm in company and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

He has been remanded in custody and will reappear in Toowoomba Childrens Court on April 9.
