UPDATE: Charges – Aggravated burglary – Central desert

Northern Territory Police have arrested and charged a 16-year-old male after an aggravated burglary in the Central Desert early yesterday morning.

He was arrested by detectives yesterday and has now been charged with:

  • Aggravated burglary
  • Theft
  • Damage to property

He was bailed to appear in court on 14 March 2024.

The vehicle used in the offending was not stolen and has since been recovered.

If anyone witnessed suspicious activity in the vicinity of Erldunda Roadhouse, has dashcam footage or a silver Toyota Prado in the area around the time of the incident, please contact police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Detective Senior Sergeant Michael Budge said ” This arrest was the result of fast, collaborative efforts from local police and Strike Force Viper and we will continue to work tirelessly to put these offenders before the courts.”
