Police can now confirm five people, not seven as earlier indicated, received injuries in this morning’s crash on Braemar Road, Tekapo.
Police were called around 10.55am.
Three people died, two others are in a serious condition and three people received minor to moderate injuries.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
