The matter involving a suspicious vehicle on Sefton Street East, Timaru has been resolved without incident.
The report was received at 12.09pm.
The cordons that had been in place as a precaution have been stood down.
Enquiries into the matter are ongoing and Police will be speaking with a person of interest.
