Updating your beach and residential parking permit is made easy through the Bayside Parking Permit Portal.
With physical permits expiring 31 October, now is the time to make sure you renew, update, transfer or change your permit.
Digital parking permits are linked directly to your vehicle registration, making them more convenient, secure, and efficient to use. Our parking officers use mobile devices that connect to the digital permit portal and scan the number plate to verify if the vehicle is registered and eligible to park at the location.
Benefits of digital permits include:
- No need for a physical permit
- Automatically linked to your vehicle registration
- Cannot be lost or damaged
- Easily transferable between vehicles
- Environmentally sustainable by reducing paper.
All Bayside Property owners and renters are entitled to 2 free Beach Parking Permits.
People living on streets with timed parking restrictions may be eligible for up to 4 free Residential Parking Permits.
Residents who currently have physical beach parking permits and don’t wish to go digital will need to get a new physical permit from the Corporate Centre from 1 October 2026. Residents who lose a physical permit will be required to pay a fee.
