The Emergency Management (Cross Border Travel Associated No 55) (COVID-19) Direction 2021 has been revoked and replaced by the Emergency Management (Cross Border Travel Associated No 56) (COVID-19) Direction 2021. This Direction came into effect at 7:41pm on Sunday, 3 October 2021.
Key changes include:
The Victorian Cross Border Community Corridor has been reduced to 40km west of the SA/Vic border and 30km east. Any Cross Border Community Member who has been outside of the new corridor in the past 14 days will not be able to enter South Australia.
Cross border community members who travelled beyond 30km east of the SA/Vic border (but not beyond 70km) before the commencement of this Associated Direction will be permitted to return to SA subject to Level 4 requirements.
Cross Border Community members will be required to show evidence of a COVID-19 test, or a negative COVID-19 test result, undertaken within the past 7 days. If they cannot do so, they will be required to undertake a test within 48 hours of arrival into SA.
Other existing requirements remain.
