Since 2024, Victoria’s Critical Minerals Roadmap has helped increase industry confidence, attract investment and produce record interest in Victoria’s critical minerals sector.
Victoria has world-class mineral sand deposits containing titanium, zirconium and rare earth elements, with mines approved to operate near Swan Hill and Minyip. Across the Wimmera and Mallee, heavy mineral sands will be developed in the coming years.
The Roadmap Update 2026 builds on this strong foundation, with a sharper focus on moving industry interest into investment, supporting the next phase of projects and boosting community confidence in Victoria’s critical minerals sector.
