UUMV, drug and weapon offences – Mundoolun

Police have charged a 31-year-old Crestmead man with multiple offences after intercepting a car he was driving that was allegedly stolen during a burglary in Ashgrove.

Around 9.15pm on September 25, police observed the green Subaru sedan travelling eastbound along Beaudesert-Nerang Road. Police will allege the vehicle was being driven erratically until it came to a stop on Beaudesert-Beenleigh Road in Mundoolun a short time later.

The man was arrested without incident.

Police will allege that during a search of the vehicle they located a taser, a pipe, knuckle dusters, taser cartridges, multiple rounds of ammunition, a folding knife and numerous restricted drugs including Oxazepam, Risperidone and Baclofen.

He was charged two counts of unlawful possession of weapons and one count each of unlawful use of motor vehicle, possess utensils or pipes, authority required to possess explosives, possessing dangerous drugs, unlawful possession of restricted drugs possession of a knife and evade police.

He is due to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court today (September 28).
