Victoria name 13-player squad for WNCL matches in Adelaide

Victoria have named a 13-player squad ahead of its two WNCL games next Monday and Wednesday against South Australia at the Adelaide Oval and Karen Rolton Oval in Adelaide.

Ellyse Perry, Annabel Sutherland, Georgia Wareham and Kim Garth are all unavailable for selection due to Australian commitments as they prepare to take on South Africa.

Victoria will be looking to continue their unbeaten start to the new year after they defeated ACT on Tuesday and Thursday last week in two strong performances.

Cricket Victoria’s Head of Female Cricket, Sharelle McMahon, said the team were keen to keep their good form going.

“It was an impressive start to 2024 from the girls last week and now we look ahead our next challenge in the Scorpions,” she said.

“We’re excited to head out to Adelaide and take on a strong opposition, including under the lights in our first day-night clash of the season on Monday at the Adelaide Oval.

“It is fourth playing fifth in the standings, so it will be a good opportunity for the girls as we get into the back-end of the season.

“It was great to have both Ellyse and Georgia line up for us last week and we can’t wait to see them in action for Australia this Saturday alongside Kim and Annabel.”
