DXC Technology

(NYSE: DXC) today announced a collaboration with Victoria University to deliver a fully-integrated Human Capital Management (HCM) cloud-based solution which will help attract, develop and retain top teaching talent whilst improving student experience and driving innovation.

Oracle’s Fusion Cloud Human Capital Management (HCM), which will be implemented and managed by DXC, will allow the University to streamline processes, improve reporting and compliance, and achieve a seamless payroll integration in accordance with education requirements and standards.

Victoria University currently utilises a myriad of complex systems to manage its workforce, from recruitment through off-boarding. Today, the University’s systems are partially integrated and many processes paper based, which requires manual intervention and introduces significant risk and cost. This new solution will provide an end-to-end, fully integrated HCM platform that is intended to keep pace with the shifts in technology enabling human resources, incorporating Artificial Intelligence (AI) reporting to inform strategic business decisions.

“The HCM initiative aims to transform Victoria University’s employee experience and improve productivity through agile best-practice processes,” said Shaun Eltham, vice president, People and Culture from Victoria University. “The main aspirations for this project were to have a flexible system with a user-centred design that delivers an exceptional employee experience and increases employee satisfaction.”

Victoria University’s vision is to be open and create exceptional value for any student from any background, uplifting the communities in which the University operates. The University has outlined three strategic pillars – Transformational Agenda, Financial Sustainability and Improved Staff Experience – that define the outcomes the University is seeking to achieve. In alignment with this strategy, the University has designed a digital roadmap incorporating a fully-operational, integrated HCM solution by 2021.

“DXC is delighted to collaborate with Victoria University to unlock value through the Enterprise Technology Stack. We will deliver an Oracle SaaS application that will improve the University’s human resources services across all campuses and locations,” said Richard James, practice director, DXC Red Rock. “In order to achieve their goal of delivering high quality education, it is imperative for universities across Australia & New Zealand to begin the transformation to move their legacy systems to the cloud, achieving not only greater efficiencies for students and staff, but enabling remote learning and support.”

“Oracle Fusion Cloud Human Capital Management is a complete solution connecting every human resource process from hire to retire. Our commitment to relentlessly innovate on behalf of our customers will help Victoria University to continually improve the HR experiences for its employees and create a single source of truth, improving decision-making and giving it new insights into its employee data,” said, John Leonard, general manager ERP & HCM, Oracle ANZ.
