Walk, wheel, ride, drive or fly?

Wodonga Council and AlburyCity are partnering to develop MOVE: The Albury Wodonga Integrated Transport Strategy.

A Two Cities One Community initiative, MOVE will set key directions for growth and movement in the region and provide a 10-year action plan to improve travel, safety and access.

MOVE considers all forms of transport and will set a vision for how we move people and goods from A to B, but also how our streets will be places where our community live, work and play.

Wodonga Mayor Cr Kev Poulton encouraged the community to help shape the future by providing their feedback.

“When it comes to moving around Albury and Wodonga, the border that separates us is only a line on the map,” Cr Poulton said.

“This is why we’re keen to hear from both people on both sides of the river, so we can develop the best strategy possible to develop the transport future that our growing community needs.”

AlburyCity Mayor Kylie King is keen to see the benefits MOVE will provide for the region.

“We want our region to be as connected, accessible, safe, and liveable as possible,” Cr King said.

“Whether you walk, wheel, ride, drive or fly – we want to hear what you think about our current transport network, and what you would like to see in the future.”
