Water safety warning

Kiama Council

Kiama Council reminds residents and visitors to avoid our beaches and waterways during severe weather.

Strong winds and heavy seas have made it extremely dangerous along our coastline, including our coastal estuaries and rivers.

Due to poor water quality people should also avoid swimming, surfing or other water recreation during and for three days after heavy rain.

Sydney Water is currently monitoring sewer overflows at Werri Lagoon, Crooked River and Boat Harbour.
