The City continues to experience heavy rainfall and storms and we have several roads closed across the city.
Remember to drive to conditions and if it’s flooded, forget it.
There is also a hazardous surf warning for Gold Coast waters and as such the Lifeguards have closed the beaches to swimming today due to the powerful easterly surf and swell conditions.
Our beach crews with heavy machinery are in place to respond as necessary to any access or safety issues.
Some erosion scarps should be expected, especially along the Northern Beaches.
The City will undertake scarp reduction works and manage wind-blown sand if required
