Werribee cricket hub project announced

Cricket Victoria welcomes the announcement by the Victorian Government of $1.5 million in funding for the new cricket hub at Alfred Road Recreation Reserve in Werribee. This is in addition to the $14 million contribution that has been made by Wyndham City Council to make this project a reality.

The new Werribee cricket hub will be a state-of-the-art indoor training facility with six synthetic cricket training wickets, female friendly change rooms, administration rooms, learning and training area, social space and accessible amenities. The funded project is expected to be completed in early 2024.

This is the 4th metropolitan cricket hub to be funded by the Victorian Government with 3 other hubs in Ringwood, Casey Fields and Greenvale as well as five existing regional cricket hubs across the State.

These hubs play an important role in growing the game of Cricket across Victoria particularly in growing areas such as Werribee, as well as the development of our future female and male stars.

Cricket Victoria would like to thank the State Government and Wyndham City Council for their ongoing support of growing the game.
