What’s in store for Sandringham Village?

We’re enhancing Sandringham’s Village to make it a more attractive and appealing place to spend time and want to check with you that we’ve got the design right.

We’ve updated the plans following positive community feedback for a village square.

The creation of a village square outside the Sandringham train station will encourage movement and enjoyment of the village and support economic growth in the area.

The design includes planting more trees, upgrading furniture and installing new signage, as well as increasing opportunity for alfresco dining and providing a dedicated space for community events.

Council has worked with various state government agencies including Public Transport Victoria, Melbourne Water and VicRoads, to make sure the design meets their requirements.

This is your chance to have your say on the design which will result in a reduction to parking, changes to the road and footpath network and a new look for the village.

Your feedback will determine how we proceed.
