The frosty mornings have set in which means Toowoomba Regional Council’s (TRC) Winter Wonderland is just around the corner with tickets now on sale.
Last year 21,000 slid on to the ice skating rink and TRC Environment and Community Committee Chair Cr Geoff McDonald is encouraging residents to book their tickets early for this year’s event.
“The response we had last year was amazing and now that people have had a taste of how great the rink was I’m expecting even more numbers this year,” he said.
“Everyone had so much fun on the ice last year and we have come up with a few ideas to improve the experience in 2019 such as themed nights and special presentations.
“We will also have a new ice slide and various other ‘pop up’ events throughout the event that will be announced in the lead up to the launch.”
Winter Wonderland runs from June 21 to July 14 and operates from 9am-9pm Monday to Wednesday and 9am-10pm Thursday to Sunday. Ice skating tickets can be purchased via the ticketing portal at www.tr.qld.gov.au/winterwonderland
Ticket prices are as follows:
Adult: $22
Child (under 16/student/pensioner): $16
Family pass (max 2 adult + up to 4 children): $70
Group entry (min of 10): $12 per person – must all book simultaneously.
There are also corporate packages (food/beverage and skating) available for groups.
