Witness appeal re Footscray burglary

Detectives from the Maribyrnong Crime Investigation Unit are appealing for public assistance following a burglary in Footscray earlier this month.

Investigators believe an unknown offender attended a Stanlake Street residential address around 2.35pm on Saturday, 16 January.

The offender stole jewellery and electrical items and was last seen heading west on Stanlake Street towards Summerhill Road.

The occupants of the house were not home at the time.

Police have released an image of a man who they believe can assist them with their enquiries.

Detectives are also appealing for anyone who witnessed suspicious activity or may have driven past at the time and have dashcam footage to come forward.
