Woman crashes into home, blows high range PCA at Tamworth, NSW

A woman has been charged with high range PCA after crashing into a house in the state’s northeast on the weekend.

About 4.40pm on Friday (26 June 2020), emergency services were called to a home on Anthony Road, South Tamworth, following reports a vehicle had crashed into a house.

Officers attached to Oxley Police District will allege the driver, a 47-year-old woman, reversed harshly out of a driveway across Anthony Road before mounting the gutter and crashing into a house.

Multiple children were playing on the road at the time of the incident however no one was injured.

The woman was assessed by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being subjected to a breath test, returning a positive result.

She was arrested and taken to Tamworth Police Station where a subsequent breath analysis returned a reading of 0.369.

The woman was charged with drive with high range PCA and never licensed person drive on road.

She was refused bail and will appear before Tamworth Local Court today (Monday 29 June 2020).
