Woman dies after two vehicle crash at Swan Creek

A woman has died after a two-vehicle crash in the states north.

About 5.30pm (Thursday 4 January 2024), emergency services were called to Big River Way, Swan Creek, approximately 10kms from Grafton, following reports of a crash involving a truck and car.

The driver of the car – a 65-year-old woman died at the scene.

Her passenger, a 13-year-old boy, was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a critical condition.

The male driver of the semi-trailer – a 36-year-old man was uninjured and taken to Grafton Base Hospital for mandatory testing.

Officers attached to Coffs-Clarence Police District established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
