A woman will appear in court next month after several fraudulent transactions were allegedly committed following a steal from motor vehicle in Busby last week.
Between 6pm on Wednesday 9 October 2019 and 10am on Thursday 10 October 2019, a 34-year-old woman had her wallet and other items stolen from her motor vehicle parked and secured at a unit block on Old Glenfield Road, Glenfield.
On Thursday 10 October 2019, the woman’s credit card was used to make seven unauthorised transactions at multiple stores within a shopping centre at Miller.
Officers from Liverpool City Police Area Command were notified and commenced investigations.
Following inquiries, officers executed a search warrant at a unit on South Liverpool Road, Busby about 7am today (Wednesday 16 October 2019).
A 53-year-old woman was arrested at the scene and taken to Liverpool Police Station where she was charged with seven counts of dishonestly obtain property by deception.
She was granted conditional bail to appear at Liverpool Local Court on Wednesday 6 November 2019.
Commander of Liverpool Police Area Command, Acting Superintendent Paul Martin, is reminding people not to leave valuables in their vehicles, even when locked.
“The Liverpool Proactive Crime Team have done an excellent job investigating this crime, swiftly arresting a woman, putting her before the court,” A/Supt Martin said.
