Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating after a hit-run collision in Noble Park on Saturday night.
Emergency services were called to reports a female pedestrian had been struck by a white van while crossing Heatherton Road near Avon Street about 7pm on 20 May.
The driver of the van failed to stop at the scene.
A 34-year-old Springvale woman was assisted by witnesses until emergency services arrived and has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Investigators are urging the van driver to come forward to police.
