Women sexually touched at shopping centre; man charged at Liverpool, NSW

A man will appear in court today after he allegedly sexually touched five different women at a Liverpool shopping centre yesterday.

About 2pm (Wednesday 12 May 2021), officers attached to Liverpool Police Area Command attended a shopping centre on Elizabeth Drive and met with security following reports a man has sexually touched several females.

Following inquiries, a 41-year-old Riverwood man was arrested nearby and taken to Liverpool Police Station.

He was charged with sexual touching (x4), common assault (x4), and stalk/intimidate intend fear physical harm.

Police will allege in court the man approached five different women – aged between 19 and 28 – at the shopping centre and sexually touched them.

It is further alleged he followed one of the women for about twenty minutes and grabbed and twisted the arm of another woman.

The man was refused bail and will appear in Liverpool Local Court today (Thursday 13 May 2021).
