Wonderland exhibition opens at Living Arts Space

New exhibition Wonderland will open at the Living Arts Space on Saturday.

Wonderland brings together creativity, playfulness and design, with a mix of works including bold pop-art paintings, unique ceramics, textile animals, embroidery and jewellery.

The exhibition includes a stunning collection from the Bendigo LEGO User Group, as well as a stop motion LEGO video and green screen play. The LEGO collection recreates eight iconic landmarks from the region.

Exhibitors featured are the Bendigo LEGO User Group, ceramicist Frances Guerin, pop artist Chris Duffy, Beth Sayer (embroidery and jewellery maker), DAP Jewellery’s Dan Cox and emerging artist Eleanor Brownbill.

Visitor Centre Manager Jemma Docherty said Wonderland was an engaging and colourful exhibition.

“If you are looking for something interesting to do over the summer period or are hosting visitors, Wonderland is a great option,” Ms Docherty said.

“It’s quite interactive and with the LEGO and green screen activity, it will appeal to children too.”

The exhibition is suitable for all ages and runs from Saturday December 7, 2019 – February 29, 2020.

The Living Arts Space is located at the Bendigo Visitor Centre, 51-67 Pall Mall Bendigo. Bendigo Visitor Centre is open hours seven days a week (except Christmas Day) from 9am – 5pm.
