With their old Fitzroy heartland part of our City, the Brisbane Lions are staging a series of activities in Yarra this week as they compete for another AFL premiership.
Brisbane Lions pop-up shop
Following its success in previous years, the club is opening a pop-up merchandise shop in the Reading Room at Fitzroy Town Hall, 201 Napier Street, Fitzroy.
Fans will be able to purchase the full range of Lions’ 2026 Finals merchandise. Merchandise will be available at the following times:
Wednesday 23 September, 9am to 6pm
Thursday 24 September, 9am to 6pm
Friday 25 September, 9am to 6pm
Brunswick Street Oval post-Grand Final celebration
On the morning following the Grand Final, the Lions will host a family day at Brunswick Street Oval.
Regardless of the result, families can look forward to seeing Brisbane Lions players and picking up unique Lions merchandise. If the Lions are victorious, the premiership cup will also be on display.
If you’re heading to the event, be sure to support local businesses surrounding the oval and be mindful of local parking restrictions and residents.

Brisbane Lions flags
To celebrate the team’s participation in the Grand Final, and in recognition of Yarra’s historic connection with Fitzroy and the Brisbane Lions, Council is flying the Lions flag at Fitzroy Town Hall throughout Grand Final week.
