Yet another study into traffic congestion without any solution

Tasmanian Labor
  • Motorists want relief from congestion, not more words
  • Hodgman Government has no ideas on traffic chaos
  • Shadow Infrastructure Minister David O’Byrne has today slammed the Premier for announcing a $1 million transport study for Hobart in his state of the state address.

“After five years and countless promises for a vision or a plan, the Premier’s big pledge today was for a million dollar traffic study for Hobart,” Mr O’Byrne said.

“This is an embarrassing admission of failure from a Government with no ideas.

“In the same week as the Deputy Premier binned his election promise of an underground bus mall in Hobart because it wasn’t his idea, this shows that the Premier has no solutions.

“Tasmanians caught on congested roads want action, not more long-winded studies.

“They are tired of empty speeches from this visionless premier and want action, not just more words.”
