Australia’s Leading Renters Advocacy Service is Growing and Seeks Rental Property Inspectors

Your Home Hunter, Australia’s leading Renters Advocacy service, is thrilled to announce an exciting new recruitment initiative that will provide flexible work options for our community’s senior members.

In response to increasing demand for their service, Your Home Hunter is looking to hire a committed team of local seniors to inspect rental properties with, or on behalf of, their clients.

Founder of Your Home Hunter, Wendy Eva-Scott, says that this team will play a critical role in helping tenants navigate the highly competitive rental market.

“We believe that everyone deserves to live somewhere they love and are committed to taking the stress out of finding the perfect rental property to call home,” Ms Eva-Scott said.

“Our new Inspectors will work directly with clients, inspecting properties of interest and confirming that they fulfil their needs and preferences.

“Depending on the client’s circumstances, this may be done in person or by video call.”

As Your Home Hunter’s service is client-driven, Inspectors will be engaged on an as-needed basis.

To provide further flexibility, Your Home Hunter is also planning to have a handful of team members in each area, allowing Inspectors to choose the opportunities that best fit their schedule.

“We believe that the occasional nature of this work would appeal to many senior members of the community, who may only want to do a few hours a month,” Ma Eva-Scott said.

“Many of the characteristics we are looking for; like punctuality, dependability, and solid communication skills; are also quite common among mature workers and recent retirees.

“We also see this role as a fantastic opportunity for personal growth and learning, which is something we know seniors frequently seek out.

“So, if we can create an opportunity for seniors to maintain their sense of purpose, independence, and social connections, while helping us extend our reach – and being well-paid for their time – then this is a win for everyone involved.”
