We are seeking your feedback on areas nominated by industry for inclusion in the 2022 Offshore Petroleum Exploration Acreage Release.
The Australian Government releases offshore areas for oil and gas exploration every year. The acreage release is a key strategy to promote investment in Australia’s offshore oil and gas resources.
The consultation process is an opportunity to comment on the nominated areas and highlight how you might be affected by exploration activities.
Your responses will also inform potential explorers of issues or concerns. They can take this into account when planning future exploration activities.
The areas nominated by industry will not be endorsed by the government for inclusion in the acreage release until all submissions are considered.
