Two official memorial services will take place on 1 October, 20 years after the 2005 Bali bombings took the lives of 20 people and injured more than 100.
Survivors, families and first responders who would like to attend a commemoration service in either Newcastle, Australia or Bali, Indonesia can apply for a grant to assist with the cost of their travel.
Applications can be made via GrantConnect between 1 October 2025 and 11:30pm AEDT on 28 November 2025 (Grant ID: GO79707).
- The Newcastle service will be held at Edward Charles de Vos’ Park, Newcastle, from 18:00-18:30 on 1 October. Members of the public are welcome at this event.
