24 Barra now worth $1 million for 2024

NT Government

There are now more chances than ever before for a lucky fisho to become a millionaire through the Territory Government’s Million Dollar Fish competition.

A further 12 $10,000-tagged Barramundi are now worth a million dollars, bringing the total number of Barramundi worth one million dollars to 24.

This is the most million-dollar Barramundi in the history of the competition, close to guaranteeing one lucky angler will become a millionaire at the reel of a rod.

Taking into account the seven $10,000 fish already claimed this season, there are still 80 $10,000 barras waiting to be caught, alongside the new 24 million-dollar fish.

Once a barra with a million-dollar tag is caught, the remaining 23 will revert to $10,000 fish for the remainder of the season.

The previous season of Million Dollar Fish injected a total of $70.8 million into the Territory economy and delivered more than 150,000 nights stayed in Territory accommodation by visitors, while mentions of the competition in the media reached more than five million people.

Season 9 of Million Dollar Fish, supported by SportsBet, runs from 1 October 2023 to 31 March 2024. To claim any prize money from a tagged fish, you must be registered for Season 9. This also automatically enters you into the Lucky Prize Pool, which includes thousands of dollars’ worth of prizes up for grabs. Register now for free at [https://www.milliondollarfish.com.au].
