Officers from the Major Crash Investigation Section are investigating a fatal crash that occurred in Darling Downs yesterday, 9 April 2024.
About 2:40pm, a red Harley Davidson motorcycle was riding behind a white Toyota Hilux – carrying an intermediate bulk container – southbound on South Western Highway, near Rails Crescent.
The container was detached from the Toyota Hilux, subsequently causing the 61-year-old male rider to crash.
The male rider was conveyed to Royal Perth Hospital with critical injuries, where he later died.
The 22-year-old driver of the Toyota Hilux was uninjured.
